The 2011-2012 year will mark the second year of Jenni Morrison's tenure as the athletics director at Defiance College and her fifth year with the Yellow Jackets in an administrative role.

Morrison came to Defiance in the fall of 2007 and served as the assistant athletics director for two years, where she provided primary direction for the Champs/Life Skills program and served on the senior management team, before assuming the role of co-interim athletics director during the 2009-2010 year. Morrison was then named athletics director on July 1, 2010 and given the responsibility to oversee all aspects of DC's 18 varsity athletic programs.

Since assuming her current position as the athletics director for DC, Morrison has seen the number of varsity athletic programs at Defiance climb to 22. Morrison has also overseen several upgrades to the Defiance College athletics facilities, including the construction of an 84,000-square foot field house and the resurfacing of the Dix Tennis Facility.

Prior to joining the DC athletics department, Morrison gained experience in an administrative role by serving as the athletics director at Penn State-Fayette for three years and directing a small but growing program of intercollegiate athletics.

Morrison began her career in athletics during her time at California University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a bachelor's degree in sports management and a master's degree in business administration. During her time with the Vulcans, Morrison was a two-year starter on the women's basketball team, before joining the coaching staff and helping to guide the squad to the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2004.
