The 2011 season will be the second for Danny Cornely as a member of the Defiance College coaching staff. Cornely will continue to be responsible for coaching the defensive line.

Cornely is no stranger to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, as he was a three-year starter and three-time All-HCAC selection on the gridiron for Hanover College. During his time with the Panthers, Cornely earned the Coaches’ Appreciation Award and was a two-year captain from his linebacker position.

Cornely began his coaching career at Florida International University, where he assisted the defensive coordinator during summer camps. Cornely then served as an assistant strength coach during his final year at HC.

Cornely graduated with a degree in communications from Hanover and is currently working towards a master’s degree in education from Defiance.
