Women's Golf Coaching Staff
Craig Rutter became the head coach for women’s golf at the beginning of the 2007 season and is currently in his fifth full year in that position. Rutter is also the assistant athletics director for student-athlete engagement and continues as an associate professor of exercise science at DC where he has been employed for 28 years. Since 2001 Rutter has provided opportunities for students, faculty, staff, alums, and community partners to participate in service experiences locally, nationally, and internationally. He has led 22 trips to Jamaica serving the people of that country through the building of homes, teaching in the schools, and witnessing to the children in three orphanages. Prior to his role in service engagement, Rutter was the head baseball coach for the Yellow Jackets, where he piled up a Defiance College record of 285 wins in 19 seasons. Craig and his wife, Gayle, have three daughters named Heidi, Holli, and Brooke, as well as six granddaughters and one grandson. |
