Men's Soccer Coaching Staff
Greg Vogt, '10
Assistant Coach Greg Vogt begins his second and final year as the primary assistant coach for the men’s soccer program. The Defiance College alum accepted the graduate assistant position after earning a bachelor’s degree in sport management in the spring of 2010. Vogt displayed his leadership skills on the pitch throughout the 2009 season, as the fourth-year starter and team captain led the Yellow Jackets to their best record since 2006 from his midfield position. The Willowick, Ohio, native was honored as the DC Classic Team MVP after leading the Jackets to a tournament title to start his senior campaign, and finished the season ranked second in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference with six assists before being tabbed as an All-HCAC performer. Vogt recorded 14 assists in four seasons at Defiance, and built a reputation for being a skilled distributor with quick decision making and field awareness. In addition the responsibilities he will assume as a member of the coaching staff, Vogt will spend his final year at DC finishing a master’s degree in education with a concentration in coaching. |
