The 2012 season is the first for Rod Hardy as a member of the Defiance College football coaching staff. Hardy joined DC, after graduating from Indiana State University in the spring of 2012.

While at Indiana State, Hardy was a member of the Sycamore’s football squad from 2008 through 2011 and served as a team captain. The Indianapolis, Ind., native also excelled in the classroom by earning a spot on the Dean’s List from 2008 through 2012, en route to completing a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in African-American studies.

Hardy also gained valuable leadership experience by working for Young Men of Purpose from 2004 through 2008, as well as by serving as a participant at the Center for Leadership Development from 2005 through 2008.

During his time with the Purple and Gold, Hardy will also be working towards a master’s degree in business administration.
