LEXINGTON, Ky. – Defiance was hit with an abbreviated loss on Saturday morning, when inclement weather prevented DC and Transylvania from resuming a game that was called in the seventh inning on Friday night. Saturday’s doubleheader between the two squads never got underway.

The game was suspended with Transylvania leading, 8-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning and will resume on Saturday at 11:00 am. DEFIANCE, Ohio – Former Defiance College third baseman, Keith Wade, recently accepted an opportunity to continue his baseball career with the Milledgeville Capitals of the newly formed Peach State League. Wade made his debut on June 23 with three hits and a pair of steals in a 7-2 victory for the Capitals.
