Kahsen and Wade Continuing Pro Careers on the Diamond

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Fresh off of successful stints in the Arizona Winter League, during which Kasey Kahsen and Keith Wade each batted over .300, the former Defiance College baseball standouts have continued their professional baseball careers in the Pecos League. Kahsen was signed by the Ruidoso Osos on March 21 after hitting .391 in the AWL and clubbed his first professional home run during his second game with the club. Kahsen currently sports a .500 batting average through eight games to lead all Ruidoso batters with at least 10 at bats. Wade joined his third professional team since completing his Defiance College career, signing with the Roswell Invaders. Wade played in the Peach State League last summer, before posting a .324 average in the Arizona Winter League. Wade has played in seven games for the Invaders and currently leads the roster with a .667 batting average. The Pecos League features six teams throughout Texas and New Mexico and is not affiliated with Major League Baseball. Each team plays a 68-game schedule spanning the summer months from May through August. The league also boasts a postseason schedule and a championship series. ##### |
