DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College football program has announced that it will host its fifth-annual football camp with the Buckeye Border Fellowship of Christian Athletes on July 27 and 28 inside of DC’s Coressel Stadium.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College Alumni Varsity ‘D’ Club has announced that it will host the 2009 Yellow Jacket Classic on Saturday, June 27 at Kettenring Country Club in Defiance and that reservations are currently being accepted.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College and head coach Rob Taylor have announced the hiring of Nate Jensen to join the football coaching staff. Jensen played for the Jackets on the gridiron from 2000-2003 and will return to serve as the defensive coordinator for the Purple and Gold.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Keith Snyder and Tom Foos were each recently selected as NCAA III All-Ohio players, as announced by OhioCollegeFootball.com. Snyder earned First-Team Defense honors, while Foos was placed on the Second-Team Defense.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College’s Keith Snyder has garnered Second Team All-North Region honors, as announced by D3football.com on Wednesday afternoon. The honor is the second selection to the All-North Region Team for Snyder in the past two years.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Just days after closing the 2008 season with a 27-13 win over Bluffton to end the year on a four-game winning streak, the Defiance College football team saw 12 student-athletes selected to the All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Team.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Just two days after leading Defiance to its fourth-straight win, Keith Snyder has been selected as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Snyder turned in 10 tackles and ran back an interception 40 yards for a touchdown to seal DC’s 27-13 win over Bluffton.

BLUFFTON, Ohio – The 2008 season came to an end with a fourth-straight win for Defiance. The Yellow Jackets picked up their 43rd all-time victory over Bluffton and moved into third place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings with a 4-3 mark.

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The start time for Saturday's clash on the gridiron between Defiance and Bluffton has been pushed back to a 1:30 pm kickoff. The rivalry game and season finale for both squads had been slated for a 1:00 pm start. The game will be the 84th all-time meeting between the Jackets and the Beavers, with DC holding a 42-39-2 edge in the series.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College picked up its third-straight win by pulling out a 21-14 victory over Mount St. Joseph on Saturday inside of Coressel Stadium. The win was DC’s first over the Lions on the gridiron since 2001 and moved the Yellow Jackets into fourth place in the HCAC with one game remaining.

HANOVER, Ind. – Defiance rattled off 21-unanswered points and rallied from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to complete a 31-28 overtime victory at Hanover on Saturday. The win was DC’s fourth straight over the Panthers and marked the 350th win in the history of the program.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Lewis Caralla turned in his best performance of the season with 188 rushing yards on only 18 carries, but it was not enough to get Defiance past Rose-Hulman on Saturday. The Jackets came up just short to a well-balanced attack from the Engineers, falling 28-21, at Coressel Stadium.

N. MANCHESTER, Ind. – Defiance failed to score in the opening 30 minutes of play for the fourth time in five games this season and ultimately suffered a 20-7 loss at Manchester. The Jackets held the Spartans scoreless in the second half but could not overcome the 20-0 halftime deficit.

ADRIAN, Mich. – Defiance College failed to dent the scoreboard on Saturday night and fell, 20-0, to Adrian in the latest installment of DC’s ‘Border War’ with the Bulldogs. The Yellow Jackets’ all-time lead in the series now stands at 28-26-1.

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The 2008 campaign got off to a rocky beginning for the Yellow Jackets on Saturday night, as Muskingum handed Defiance a 35-10 defeat at McConagha Stadium. DC never led in the contest and did not find the end zone until 1:50 remained in the game.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference released its 2008 preseason football coaches poll on Tuesday. Defiance was selected to finish fourth in the eight-team league and placed eight players on the HCAC Watch List.
