Hilton Sets the Pace for DC Harriers at NCAA Regionals

OBERLIN, Ohio – Defiance College freshman Josh Hilton turned in his best performance of the year at the NCAA Regional Championships held at Oberlin College. Hilton led the Yellow Jackets with a time of 26:46.27.

Hilton finished 69th in the 243-runner field. Senior Just Perkins ran a time of 27:12.33 to finish 93rd in the field. Joe Davis was close behind with a time of 27:19.38, while Hayden Krick posted a finishing time of 27:43.65. Ending the scoring for the Yellow Jackets was Madison Murphy with a mark of 28:05.92.

Defiance College finished 23rd in the 35 team field at the event. With the conclusion of the race, the 2011 season for the men’s cross country team comes to a close. The team will return to action next fall.
