Joe Davis Finishes Second at Bluffton Invitational

BLUFFTON, Ohio – In the second meet of the season, the DC men’s cross-country team showed well as it finished second at the Bluffton Invitational behind Manchester. The squad was led by junior Joe Davis who placed second overall with a time of 26:45:00, four seconds off first.

Other DC runners placing in the top ten just behind Davis were senior Hayden Krick at 27:25:00 in sixth place and junior Madison Murphy at 27:47:00 in eighth.

Two harriers for DC also had decent showings on the day as freshman Jacob Whisler finished 14th with a time of 28:32:00 and sophomore Josh Hilton in 16th with a time of 28:36:00.

Manchester won the event with a total of 22 points, while Defiance scored 46. Bluffton came in third with 69 points.

DC returns to action next Saturday, September 15 when they travel to Erie, Pennsylvania for the Penn-State Behrend Invitational. The meet is set for 11 a.m.
