Men's Lacrosse Coaching Staff
Ryan Kuhn
Head Coach Defiance College announced on February 22, 2012 that it had hired Ryan Kuhn as the head coach for the men’s lacrosse program. Kuhn will continue building the new program throughout the 2012 year, before leading the program into its first varsity season in the spring of 2013. Kuhn joins the Defiance program from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, where he served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Dolphins for the past four seasons. During that time, Kuhn also worked on staff as an assistant varsity coach at Copiague High. Prior to his time at MSV, Kuhn acted in the same position at Hendrix College, helping launch the men’s lacrosse program for the Warriors and playing a key role in the recruiting process. Kuhn started his coaching career at Suffolk Community College in 2007 and gained key coaching experiences at a host of college, high school and club camps. Kuhn gained his playing experience while serving as a two-time team captain at NCAA Division III Manhattanville College. Kuhn began his career at Adelphi University, where he helped the Panthers to a No. 4 national ranking at the NCAA Division II level before transferring to MC for his final two campaigns. The two-time New York Collegiate Athletic Academic All-Conference performer at Adelphi also earned a pair of Skyline Academic All-Conference honors from Manhattanville, before graduating in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in history. |
