MEQUON, Wis. – The Defiance College men’s lacrosse program wrapped up its weekend road trip on Sunday afternoon with a Midwest Lacrosse Conference matchup against Concordia University. The Yellow Jackets were overwhelmed by the Falcons, as the Purple and Gold fell by a score of 22-0.

The hosts got into the scoring column quickly in the first quarter. Concordia’s Matt Larsen scored the game’s opening goal to give the Falcons an early 1-0 lead just over two minutes into the game.

Concordia went on to score seven more times in the first 15 minutes to take a commanding 8-0 lead.

The next quarter went much like the first, as the home team dominated possession and the game. The Falcons added six goals in the second stanza to lead the game at the midway point by a score of 14-0.

After the halftime break, Concordia found the back of the net four times each in the third and fourth quarters, while shutting out the Purple and Gold en route to a 22-0 victory.

DC’s record falls to 0-12 on the season with the defeat and 0-5 in MLC play. The Jackets return home for a conference game against Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday, April 10. Faceoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
