ADA, Ohio – The Yellow Jackets suffered their second defeat of the season on Friday evening at the Ohio Northern Tournament to Penn State-Behrend by a score of 3-0. The Lions built a lead early and never looked back.

PSB opened up the scoring with a goal by Jimmy Belack in the ninth minute. The goal was Belack’s first of the year.

Twelve minutes later the Lions struck again as Belack sent in a cross from the right side that connected with Aaron Meehl, who then found the back of the net with his shot.

Right before the halftime whistle PSB scored another goal to take a 3-0 lead into the break.

In the second half the Yellow Jackets did not relinquish anymore goals but failed to find any of their own. Defiance was outshot on the night by a total of 17 to five.

DC is in action tomorrow for the final day of the Ohio Northern Tournament. It will play Oberlin College at 12:30 p.m.
