Elson Selected to Division III All-Ohio Team

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Senior defender Kevin Elson was recently selected to the 2011 National Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Division III All-Ohio Third-Team by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association. The honor adds to his accolades for the 2011 season, as he also received All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference First-Team honors. Elson was recognized as one of the top defenders in Ohio at the Division III level, as the members of the OCSA voted him onto the third-team. Elson was one of DC’s captains throughout the 2011 campaign and was the anchor in the middle of the Jackets’ defense. Elson also added a goal and an assist totaling three points on the season for Defiance. In his career as a Yellow Jacket Elson scored three goals and accumulated seven points as a defender. The senior helped guide the Jackets to a HCAC record of 3-4-2, narrowly missing the HCAC playoffs. |
