AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Defiance College freshman swimmer Dylan Textor was recognized on Monday receiving Ohio Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week honors. The award marks the second time in as many weeks that a DC swimmer has earned the recognition, and the first time a member of the men’s team has won swimmer of the week.

Textor dominated the Hiram meet on Saturday, November 19 for the Yellow Jackets. The freshman competed in three events and was victorious in each one. What makes his performance even more impressive is each of the three events were different types of strokes.

Textor won the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:10.72. He followed up that victory with a win in the 100-meter butterfly by posting a time of 1:07.20 and the freshman closed out his perfect day by finishing first in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 1:10.96.

Textor and the rest of the Yellow Jackets are back in the water on Saturday, December 3 when the team travels to Urbana. The meet is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
