WOOSTER, Ohio – The Defiance College men’s swimming team was defeated by Ohio Wesleyan and Wooster on Saturday afternoon. DC lost to Ohio Wesleyan by a score of 21-178 and to Wooster by a final of 28-177.

Unfortunately for the undermanned Yellow Jacket squad, DC was unable to pick up any individual victories on the afternoon. This is one of the few times this season that this has occurred.

Each Jacket swimmer participated in three events. Freshman Dylan Textor had the best finish for DC when he raced to a third place finish in the 200-yard freestyle. Textor turned in his best time of the season for the event with a time of 1:53.33.

Other notable Jacket performances were William Johns’ fourth place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle and Ben Werbiskis’ fifth place finish in the 50-yard freestyle. Johns and Werbiskis both turned in personal best times in the aforementioned events.

The Yellow Jackets next meet is on January 28 at Franklin College for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference meet.
