Yellow Jackets Place Fourth at HCAC Invitational

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Defiance College men’s swimming team finished in fourth place at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Jackets finished the meet with a total of 14 points. The best performance of the afternoon came from freshman Dylan Textor in the 200 butterfly event. Textor came in fourth place with a time of 2:13.69. Another notable performer on the afternoon for DC was freshman William Johns, who turned in a pair of fourth place finishes at the invite. Johns finished the 1650-yard freestyle race with a time of 20:38.23 and the 200-yard breaststroke with a mark of 2:35.91. The Yellow Jackets last meet of the inaugural season will be the OAC Championships which are set to begin on Thursday, February 16 and end on Saturday, February 18. The championships will be held in Akron, Ohio. |
