Dirk Doehring
Sprints Coach, Jumps Coach

Dirk Doehring enters his second
season as an assistant coach with the Defiance College track and
field program. He will work primarily with athletes in jumps and
sprints.
Doehring, who is USATF Level I
certified, served as an assistant track coach at Millikin University for two
seasons, where he coached 13 all-conference athletes and one NCAA qualifier.
While at Millikin he also served as an assistant coach for the school's football
program. He spent a season as the head track and field coach at Argenta-Oreana
High School, guiding multiple athletes to the state meet.
Doehring earned four varsity letters
in track and field and two varsity letters in football, while serving as the track
and field team captain for a season. Doehring helped set Millikin and CCIW
records in the 400 meter relay, while also provisionally qualifying twice in
that event for the NCAA Championships.
He graduated from Millikin
University in 2002 with a degree in social sciences secondary education and is
currently pursuing a master’s of education in sport science.
