ADA, Ohio – The Defiance College men’s track and field team competed at the Joe Banks Invitational at Ohio Northern University. The Yellow Jackets turned in some impressive performances on their way to a fourth place finish, totaling 115 points.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College announced on Monday that it will cancel the Defiance Open. The meet was scheduled to take place on Friday, February 10 at 4:00 p.m. The event will not be rescheduled.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Yellow Jacket junior thrower Tom Postema’s honors and accolades keep increasing with every passing week. Postema was once again named the HCAC Field Athlete of the Week. The award has been handed out twice so far this season, and each time Postema has been the recipient.

GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Yellow Jacket men’s track and field team was victorious in only its second scored meet of the season. DC competed at the Lid-Lifter Denison Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Defiance totaled 158 points in its first place finish followed by Wittenberg (105), Denison (85) and Transylvania (53).

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The floor inside the 84,000-square foot George M. Smart Athletic Center is installed and the lines were finished Thursday. The Smart Fitness Center will be moved in and open inside the facility as the Buchman Fitness Center on February 13, with the entire facility projected to be open by late February.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College Sports Information Department, in partnership with Streamline Technologies, officially launched a redesigned online home for the Yellow Jackets on Thursday, with the aim of further increasing DC’s ability to showcase the student-athletes of its 22 varsity athletic programs.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Defiance College junior thrower Tom Postema was recognized on Monday as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week. This is the first week of the 2012 indoor season that the HCAC has given the award.

FINDLAY, Ohio – The Yellow Jacket men’s track and field team traveled to Findlay, Ohio on Friday afternoon for the Northwest Ohio Invitational. Despite the frigid temperatures outside, it did not take DC long to heat up indoors as three Defiance records fell on the evening.
