GREENWOOD, Ind. – For the first time ever, the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced an All-Sportsmanship Team for the fall of 2009. The award was developed as part of a conference-wide sportsmanship initiative.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Defiance women’ s tennis team wrapped up its 2009 campaign on Saturday, placing eighth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Individual Championships. The Jackets were edged out by Manchester College by just two points for seventh place.

originally scheduled to be held today, has been cancelled due to inclement
weather. The Yellow Jackets will play Tuesday, September 29, against Otterbein

DEFIANCE, Ohio - Defiance College announced that Saturday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis tri-match with Anderson and Transylvania will be played at Anderson and that DC will forfeit its matches because it did not have enough players due to injury. The location change was made due to the threat of rain on Saturday.

– The women’s tennis team claimed two victories on Thursday, as Katie
Carunchia and Kaitlyn Sandercock won their No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches
respectively. The victories were the first on the young season for the Yellow
Jackets’ tennis team.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The two golf carts utilized by the Defiance College athletic department recently got much needed makeovers courtesy of Integrity Defiance Auto Body, who donated their time, effort and supplies for the project. The two carts had previously been plain white, but now showcase DC school spirit with a fresh purple and gold design.
