DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College women’s golf squad turned in a 425 on Saturday in the nine-team Yellow Jacket Spring Invitational. The Jackets ended in a two-way tie for fifth with IU-East.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its fall honorees for the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team with Defiance placing 20 student-athletes on the list. The 20 award winners give DC five more than its 2009 total and seven more than 2008.

N. MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Defiance College women’s golf team placed sixth among eight teams to compete at the Manchester Invitational on Saturday. Phoenix Golnick and Kelly Beard paced the squad once again with scores of 98 and 99 in the single-round event.

WAUSEON, Ohio – Defiance College narrowly missed a tournament championship on Tuesday afternoon, finishing just six shots back of Rochester in the team standings of the 18-hole Jon Spiess Memorial at Ironwood Golf Course.
