NEW ORLEANS – The Defiance College women’s track and field team was recognized by the USTFCCCA with All-Academic status as a result of posting a team grade-point-average of 3.27. This marks the fourth-straight year that the Jackets have received All-Academic honors.

NEW ORLEANS – The USTFCCCA honored DC sophomore heptathalete Kim Bingley on Wednesday for her strong performance in the classroom and on the track for the 2012 outdoor season. Bingley was named to the 2012 Division III All-Academic Track & Field team.

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Defiance’s Kim Bingley wrapped up her showing in the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor Nationals with a strong finish in the 800-meter race and climbed to 10th in the heptathlon with 4,506 total points.

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The floor inside the 84,000-square foot George M. Smart Athletic Center is installed and the lines were finished Thursday. The Smart Fitness Center will be moved in and open inside the facility as the Buchman Fitness Center on February 13, with the entire facility projected to be open by late February.

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The DCAC construction project has entered a new phase, as the outer mainframe of the 84,000 square-foot facility has been finished. Recent work has included the installing of the facilities outer walls and the laying of the dark red bricks that will line the lower portion of the outside of the field house.

DEFIANCE, Ohio - A recent stretch of long and dry summer days has allowed significant progress to be made on the ongoing construction of DC's new field house. The steel mainframe of the 84,000 square-foot facility is nearly complete and initial work continues on the north extension of the building.

Ground work is also now being done on the north extension of the building, which will house the weight room, athletic training room, Smart Fitness Center, offices and a reception area.
