Lindsay McDaniel is the only senior on the 2012 DC volleyball squad and was an Academic All-HCAC performer last season.

20 Questions With Lindsay McDaniel
1-When did you start playing volleyball? I started in sixth grade.
2-What has been the highlight of your athletic career so far? Getting a free-ball kill against Anderson last year and then doing a star jump afterwards. Another highlight was getting my career high in digs this past year.
3-What are your goals for the 2012 season? Finally beat Mount St. Joseph and Bluffton this year.
4-Who is your funniest teammate? Caroline and Alicia, mostly because of her laugh.
5-Do you have any nicknames? Not really, just Linds for those too lazy to say my whole name.
6-What three words best describe you? Hardworking, goofy, compassionate.
7-What is your favorite restaurant? Skyline Chili.
8-Who is your biggest hero? My mother.
9-Dream vacation spot? Somewhere tropical. People do not like the cold.
10-What is the top song currently on your iPod? "The Show Goes On," by Lupe Fiasco.
11-Who was your childhood sports hero? Stacey Gordon.
12-Do you have any superstitions or pre-match routines? Not really, just focus on my game.
13-If you could trade places with anyone for one day, who would it be? My cat Spencer. He does not do anything besides lay around and eat. I also realize that a cat is not a person.
14-What is your favorite TV show? "Criminal Minds."
15-What is something most people do not know about you? I own an extensive amount of shoes and I am proud of it.
16-What is your biggest fear? Forests and darkness, but mostly the forest at night.
17-Besides your own, what is your favorite sport to watch at Defiance? Track and field.
18-What is your favorite class or professor at DC and why? Dr. Don Knueve and Dr. Steven Sondergaard because they get off-topic easily.
19-What are your plans after graduating from DC? Either pursuing a master's degree, or finding a job and settling down.
20-How has playing collegiate athletics at DC helped you in life? It has helped tremendously with my time management skills.
