20 Questions With Ryan Owens
1-When did you start playing soccer? Third grade.
2-What has been the highlight of your athletic career so far? Playing at Mount St. Joseph. It is my hometown school and it was great to play them with my whole family in the stands.
3-What are your goals for the 2012 season? Win the conference.
4-Who is your funniest teammate? Sean Mukhtar.
5-Do you have any nicknames? Lord Farquaad.
6-What three words best describe you? Awesome, spectacular, gorgeous.
7-What is your favorite restaurant? Subway.
8-Who is your biggest hero? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
9-Dream vacation spot? Greece Islands.
10-What is the top song currently on your iPod? "Dakota" by A Rocket to the Moon.
11-Who was your childhood sports hero? Boomer Esiason.
12-Do you have any superstitions or pre-match routines? No.
13-If you could trade places with anyone for one day, who would it be? Sergio Ramos.
14-What is your favorite TV show? "Archer."
15-What is something most people do not know about you? I enjoy going shopping.
16-What is your biggest fear? Going bald.
17-Besides your own, what is your favorite sport to watch at Defiance? Volleyball.
18-What is your favorite class or professor at DC and why? Professor Joshua Francis, because despite how much he has to put up with having me as a student, he still shows a direct interest in my success at everything I do.
19-What are your plans after graduating from DC? Getting a teaching job at my high school, Cincinnati Elder.
20-How has playing collegiate athletics at DC helped you in life? In the words of Coach Van der Sluijs, "Working hard is a lifestyle, not just something you can do at only a few aspects of life."
