DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Purple and Gold softball program has announced that it will host a series of camps during a two-day stretch from July 1-2 at Sal Hench Field on the campus of Defiance College.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College softball squad has added a second summer camp to its slate, as it is now going to be a host for the Junior Day Softball Camp on June 11. The camp will be directed by head coach Jodie Holava, assistant coach Kaycee Butt and other collegiate coaches in the region.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The prestigious NIKE Sports Camps have released their summer schedules and Defiance College has been chosen to host a summer softball camp from June 23-26. The camp will be directed by head coach Jodie Holava, assistant coach Kaycee Butt and aided by the DC softball team.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The HCAC honored five DC softball members Wednesday, May 8 with its all-conference selections. Katie Miller, Macy Ferrall, Maggie Neanen, Brittany Shough and Alli Rowland were all voted to the All-HCAC teams by the head coaches in the conference.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The DC softball team ended its season on a high note Wednesday, May 1, as the Jackets swept the Heidelberg Student Princes by scores of 10-0 and 3-2. The highlight of the afternoon was freshman Alli Rowland pitching a no-hitter in the first tilt for DC's first since 2009.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – In a non-conference doubleheader between two evenly matched squads, the Yellow Jacket softball team won game one against the Olivet Comets 6-5, but fell in the second 9-8 in nine innings. The Purple and Gold’s record moved to 14-22 on the season, while Olivet now sits at 11-21.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance softball team dropped its final two HCAC contests of 2013 on Monday, April 26. The Manchester Spartans earned the conference season title with the sweep by scores of 5-2 and 6-4. DC falls to 13-21 (6-10 HCAC), while Manchester improved to 19-13 (11-3 HCAC).

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Today's DC softball matchup with the Manchester Spartans will now be played at the Defiance High fields due yesterday's rain causing Sal Hench Field to be unplayable. The tilts start time will remain the same at 3:30 p.m. start.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College softball team played its heart out on Senior Day, but a seventh-inning error in game two gave the game-winning run to the Transylvania Pioneers in a Saturday split. The Purple and Gold won the first tilt 5-1, while Transy took the second 2-1.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – With rain in the forecast for Lexington, Ky. tomorrow Saturday, April 27, the doubleheader between the Yellow Jackets and the Transylvania Pioneers has been moved to be played at Sal Hanch Field in Defiance. Also, the game will now be senior day for the squad.
