Men's Soccer Will Look to Defend Their Home Pitch in 2018

DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College men's soccer team will look to defend their home pitch in 2018 with a schedule featuring nine home games. The Yellow Jackets open their season with the annual Purple and Gold Tournament playing host to Penn State Beaver on Aug. 31, followed by Westminster on Sept. 2. 

DC's non-conference schedule will also feature match-ups with Trine on Sept. 5, Kalamazoo on Sept. 8 and Olivet on Sept. 12. 

Defiance returns to Winsper-Knobel Memorial Field on Sept. 16 with Mount Union before traveling to Muskingum on Sept. 19. The Yellow Jackets close out the early portion of their schedule with games against Grace Bible on Sept. 22 and Thiel on Sept. 25. 

Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action will begin on Sept. 29 as the Purple and Gold travel to Franklin. They return home on Oct. 3 and 6 welcoming area rival Bluffton and Rose-Hulman, respectively.

The Yellow Jackets take to the road for a three game road stretch featuring stops at Anderson on Oct. 10, Transylvania on Oct. 13 and Manchester on Oct. 17.

The final home game of the season will be held on Oct. 24 as they play host to Earlham for Senior Day. The Purple and Gold close out the season on Oct. 27 at Hanover.
