Men's Soccer Falls in Hard Fought Battle at Hanover

HANOVER, IND. - The Defiance College men's soccer team dropped a hard fought battle at Hanover, Ind. in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action as the Panthers toppled the Yellow Jackets 3-0.

Defiance awaits the final results of today's HCAC action for a chance at the Conference tournament next week.

The Yellow Jackets were led on the day by senior, goalkeeper, Clay Musgrave (Upper Snadusky) with a game-high eight saves through 90 minutes of work. As a team, DC recorded two shots, one of which was on frame.

The Yellow Jackets lone shot came in the 33rd minute of action as freshman Luca DeMartino (Mequon, Wisc./Homestead) placed a shot on goal that was saved by the Panther keeper.

Hanover pressured the net hard in the second half breaking the scoreless tie in the 62nd minute as the Panthers volleyed in a shot following a pk. 

The Red and Blue would find the net two more times in the 67th and 87th minute en route to the 3-0 victory. 

Defiance concludes the regular season at 8-10 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
