GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its fall honorees for the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team, with Defiance placing 29 student-athletes on the list. The 29 award winners is nine more than the 2011 season and the most DC has ever placed on the list.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The HCAC handed out its end-of-season honors on Wednesday and the Defiance College volleyball program earned a number of accolades. Head coach Brie Brenner was named the HCAC Coach of the Year, while Alexis Pierce, Alicia Kalik, and Chelsea Ludeman received All-HCAC honors.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Alexis Pierce added another honor to her long list of accolades for the 2012 Yellow Jacket volleyball season, as the junior was placed on the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team. This award marks the third all-tournament team Pierce has been named to this season.

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The 2012 season came to a close on Saturday for the DC volleyball squad, as the Yellow Jackets fell in straight sets to the top-seeded Mount St. Joseph Lions in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – After ending the regular season with a dominating straight-set victory over HCAC rival Bluffton University followed by a thrilling four-set win over Hanover in the HCAC Tournament Quarterfinals, the Yellow Jacket volleyball team is surging into the semifinal round against Mount St. Joseph.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Yellow Jacket volleyball team hosted its first home HCAC Tournament match on Tuesday evening, as Defiance played Hanover in the quarterfinals. The Purple and Gold produced a determined and driven effort to pull out a four-set victory by scores of 25-23, 14-25, 25-22 and 29-27.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College volleyball team is gearing up to host its first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament match in school history on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. against Hanover College. The winner of the match will play at Mount St. Joseph on Saturday in the semifinal round.
