RICMOND, Ind. - The Defiance College volleyball team picked up its second straight Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference victory on Wednesday, with a 3-1 (25-19, 25-18, 20-25, 25-20) win over Earlham.

Senior Marlea Rolander led the Jackets with a dominant performance at the net. Rolander logged 17 kills and two blocks en route to the win. Aiding the attack was senior Jessica Tietje and sophomore Alexis Pierce, who both finished the match with nine kills. Freshman Alicia Kalik provided the offense with 36 assists. On defense, the Jackets were paced by freshman Jill Turner’s 10 digs.

Defiance will return to action on Friday, September 30th when it travels to Siena Heights for a tri-match. Defiance will play Siena Heights at 2:00 pm and Illinois Tech at 6:00 pm.
