CHICAGO – The Yellow Jacket volleyball squad set a team record for most aces in a match on Friday during their first match of the Gargoyle Classic. Defiance totaled an astounding 20 aces in a straight-set victory over Chatham University.
The Purple and Gold dominated play from the opening serve, as the Jackets claimed the opening set by a score of 25-11. DC followed the first-set win with a 25-16 second-set victory to take a commanding 2-0 set lead. The Jackets finished off Chatham in fine fashion with a 25-10 third set win.
