DEFIANCE, Ohio – The DC women’s basketball staff will be hosting a basketball clinic, September 26, and a fall league, October 11-25, in the Weaner Center Gym on campus.

The clinic is open to boys and girls in grades 1-9 and will consist of players receiving instruction on numerous basketball skills, including shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding, lay-ups and defense. There will also be a Hot Shot station set up at one of the goals. The focus of the clinic will be to teach these skills in a positive and fun atmosphere

The league is open to girls in grades 2-9 only and will be held on the last three Sundays of October. Each session will last for two hours. The first hour will consist of stations and drills that focus on individual skills. The second hour will consist of 5-on-5 games, where campers will have an opportunity to showcase the skills learned in the previous hour. Teams will be divided by grade level.

DC women’s head basketball coach, Dic Doumanian, who bring 21 years of collegiate coaching experience, and assistant DC women’s basketball coach, Kat Butler, will host the events. Other camp staff will include the Lady Yellow Jacket basketball team members.
