DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College basketball fans will get their first chance to see the 2009-10 Lady Jackets in action on Tuesday, November 17. The team will host the Olivet College Comets (0-1) at the Karl H. Weaner Center beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Defiance returns three starters and six letterwinners from last year’s squad that went 9-16 overall and 5-11 in conference competition. HCAC Preseason Players-to-Watch Mandie White, Tasha Stucke and Shavonda Price will be looked upon to lead the Jackets as they enter their third year under the guidance of head coach Dic Doumanian. 

Olivet College enters the game with a 0-1 record after dropping a 66-50 decision to the University of Chicago on Saturday, November 14. The Comets return two starters and four letterwinners from a team that went 7-19 and placed eighth in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association last season.

Following Tuesday night’s game, the Yellow Jackets will play three straight road games, including two at the Adrian Tournament, before returning home to host HCAC foe Anderson University on Wednesday, December 2.
