OBERLIN, Ohio – Defiance College senior Ellen Stryffeler posted a school-record time of 23:26.40 to lead the Yellow Jackets at the NCAA Regional Championships held at Oberlin College.

Bri Rodriguez ran a time of 24:32.02, and Erika DeBos finished the race with a mark of 25:53.34 for Defiance. Marissa Bussard came in with a time of 29:22.13, while Alisha Kazlausky completed the scoring for the Yellow Jackets at 30:51.13.

For Stryffeler, the record caps an impressive senior season, during which she was named All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and HCAC Runner of the Week twice.

The women’s cross country season comes to a close with the conclusion of the race. The DC harriers will return to action next fall.
