GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its fall honorees for the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team, with Defiance placing 29 student-athletes on the list. The 29 award winners is nine more than the 2011 season and the most DC has ever placed on the list.

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Defiance College women’s golf squad wrapped up its 2012 season on Sunday with a record-breaking showing at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in Franklin, Indiana. DC finished in seventh but posted its best score at the event since the program was reinstated in 2006.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Tara Miller turned in Defiance College’s top finish for the second time in five events this fall, shooting a 95 to end in 18th place at the DC Invitational at Eagle Rock Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.

WABASH, Ind. – Sarah Westfall fired a 95 and was followed by a 97 from Phoenix Golnick and a 99 from Tara Miller, as the Defiance College women’s golf team turned in a 392 to finish eighth at Saturday’s Manchester Invitational.

WAUSEON, Ohio – Sarah Westfall carded a 96 to finish in 17th place at the Jon Spiess Memorial on Tuesday at Ironwood Golf Course. The Jackets finished sixth in the seven team event after shooting a 403 over 18 holes.

HANOVER, Ind. – The Defiance College women’s golf program continued its fall campaign on Sunday, by completing the two-day Hanover Invitational. The Jackets improved by seven strokes over Saturday’s final to finish in eighth place with a final team score of 763.
