DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Yellow Jacket soccer program will be holding two camps in July at Defiance College. Head Coach Alex Van der Sluijs and the DC soccer staff and players will be instructing the camps.

DEFIANCE, Ohio - A time lapse video of the complete construction of DC's brand new George M. Smart Athletic Center is now available. The building of The George can now be viewed in a 75-second video clip containing photos from an online web cam that tracked the progress throughout the duration of the project.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – DC celebrated the official opening of the George M. Smart Athletic Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday. The field house, known as The George, will serve as the recreational hub of the DC campus, while offering an indoor training facility for the Jackets’ 22 varsity athletic programs.

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The floor inside the 84,000-square foot George M. Smart Athletic Center is installed and the lines were finished Thursday. The Smart Fitness Center will be moved in and open inside the facility as the Buchman Fitness Center on February 13, with the entire facility projected to be open by late February.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Senior defender Jordanne Buehrer and junior forward Katie Heitkamp were recognized by the HCAC on Tuesday as all-conference standouts. Both Buehrer and Heitkamp were selected to the Second-Team All-HCAC list, voted on by the head coaches of each team in the HCAC.

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The DCAC construction project has entered a new phase, as the outer mainframe of the 84,000 square-foot facility has been finished. Recent work has included the installing of the facilities outer walls and the laying of the dark red bricks that will line the lower portion of the outside of the field house.
