RICHMOND, Ind. – After winning its conference opening match at Mt. Saint Joseph on Saturday, Defiance dropped a 9-0 decision to the Quakers of Earlham.

The Yellow Jackets were overmatched in both singles and doubles, as no position could pick up a set in any match. The closest match for DC was the number one doubles team of Kirsten Wieland and Catie Savage falling to Earlham by a score of 8-4.

The loss drops Defiance to 1-2 on the year and 1-1 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

The Lady Yellow Jackets are next in action tomorrow when they travel to the University of Findlay to take on the Oilers. The match begins at 3:30 p.m.
