Racers Handle Yellow Jackets
LIMA, Ohio – The University of Northwestern Ohio women’s tennis team defeated Defiance College by a score of 9-0 on Sunday afternoon. The loss drops Defiance’s overall season record to 1-5 on the season. Defiance was overmatched in both singles and doubles as the Yellow Jackets failed to win a set in any of the nine matches. The closest match for the Jackets was sophomore Danielle LaBarbera at the six singles position. LaBarbera lost both sets by a score of 6-3. The Lady Yellow Jackets are next in action on Wednesday, September 21 when they will travel to Manchester, Ind. to face the Spartans in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Association matchup at 4:00 p.m. Singles Arrango (NO) def.
