LEXINGTON, Ky. –The Defiance College Lady Yellow Jackets dropped a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference road match by a score of 9-0 to Transylvania University. The loss moves the Jackets’ HCAC record to 1-5 and its overall record to 1-10.

DC competed hard in each match but was unable to come away with a victory in singles or doubles. The closest doubles match for the Jackets was an 8-5 defeat at the number three doubles position. Danielle LaBarbera dropped a tough match by a score of 6-4, 6-4 at the number five singles spot.

Defiance is next in action on Wednesday, October 5 when it hosts HCAC rival Bluffton University. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. and will be played at the Dix Tennis Facility.
