DEFIANCE, Ohio – The DC tennis program is changing the time of its tennis clinic on Sunday, December 2 to 5 p.m. and the session will last until 7 p.m. The other change in the schedule is the clinic on Saturday, December 15 has been cancelled.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The DC tennis program is hosting tennis clinics open to the public for people of all ages. Due to a rescheduling of events at DC, the clinic has pushed back the clinic’s 1 p.m. start back an hour to 2 p.m. The clinic will last for two hours, ending at 4 p.m. The clinics this weekend are free to the public, with the rest costing $10 per session.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Two members of the Defiance College women’s tennis team were awarded Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference end of the season awards. Kirsten Wieland and Catie Savage were the Jacket honorees.

ANDERSON, Ind. – The DC women’s tennis team played its final match of the season on Wednesday afternoon, as the squad traveled to Anderson University to take on the Ravens in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match. The Jackets were defeated by a score of 9-0.

HANOVER, Ind. – The Defiance College women’s tennis team traveled to Hanover, Ind. to face Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference opponent Hanover College on Saturday morning. The team was unable to grab the road win and lost by a score of 8-1.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Friday’s HCAC women’s tennis match at Anderson has been postponed. A tentative makeup date of Wednesday, October 10 has been announced. The next scheduled match for the Yellow Jackets is Saturday, October 6 at Hanover. The match begins at 10:00 a.m.

BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Yellow Jacket women’s tennis team recorded its first victory of the season on Wednesday afternoon with a 7-2 victory over Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Bluffton University. The win marks the second straight season that DC has beaten the Beavers.

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Yellow Jacket women’s tennis team traveled to Mishawaka, Ind. to face the Pilots of Bethel College on Thursday afternoon in a non-conference matchup. DC was defeated by the strong Bethel squad by a score of 9-0.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The DC women’s tennis team hosted HCAC foe Manchester on Wednesday afternoon. The Jackets and Spartans each came into the match looking to grab their first win in conference play on the season. Manchester was victorious in the match winning by a final score of 8-1.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The DC women’s tennis team opened up its HCAC schedule against Earlham on Wednesday afternoon. The Jackets were without their six singles and three doubles player due to injury and were forced to forfeit two of the nine matches. DC was defeated by a score of 7-2.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference released its preseason poll and players to watch list for the upcoming women’s tennis season on Tuesday. Defiance received 29 points, placing it eighth in the poll. Three Yellow Jackets landed on the Players-to-Watch List.
