ANDERSON, Ind.  – The DC women’s tennis team played its final match of the season on Wednesday afternoon, as the squad traveled to Anderson University to take on the Ravens in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match. The Jackets were defeated by a score of 9-0.

The Jackets found themselves in a hole early, as the Ravens claimed all three doubles matches to jump out to a 3-0 lead. Singles action did not go any better for the Purple and Gold, as none of the six singles positions was able to claim a victory.

The loss brings Defiance’s season to a close, as the Jackets were unable to reach HCAC tournament action. The Purple and Gold finished with a regular season record of 1-11 and a conference mark of 1-7.
