Bingley Posts Strong Showing on Day One of NCAA Nationals
CLAREMONT, Calif. – Kim Bingley competed in the first four events of the women’s heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships on Thursday, ending the first day in 11th position with 2,745 points.
Bingley posted her best finishes in the first and final events of the day, picking up 741 points with a time of 15.78 in the 100-meter hurdles and ending the day with a time of 26.76 and 732 points in the 200-meter dash.
Along with posting her fastest time of the 2012 campaign in the 100-meter hurdles, Bingley also turned in a season-best with a toss of 36-07.05 for 606 points in the shot put and cleared 5-00.05 for 666 points in the high jump.
Bingley will conclude her showing in the NCAA Outdoor National Heptathlon Championships on Friday with the triple jump, javelin and 800-meter race.
