Wolfrum Named to D3Hoops.com Team of the Week
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College’s Logan Wolfrum has been selected as one of five student-athletes from around the nation to earn a spot on the first D3hoops.com Team of the Week of the 2009-2010 season. Wolfrum had previously been honored as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

The freshman point guard out of local Ayersville High, cracked the starting lineup in place of the injured Mike Floyd to open the year and has fueled DC's best start since 1973-1974 when it opened 7-0. Wolfrum scored 10 of the team's first 12 points and ended his first collegiate showing with 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists in a 79-62 win at Kalamazoo. Wolfrum then led the Jackets past Mount Union, 80-67, with 28 points and seven assists, before pouring in 16 points after the half in a 79-72 overtime victory at Adrian.
Along with averaging 22.0 points, 5.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game in the first three contests of the year, the Defiance, Ohio, native shot 66.7 percent from three-point range and sank all 16 of his free throw attempts. Wolfrum scored 44 points in two games to help Defiance win Adrian's John Dawson Invitational Championship and was named the tournament's most valuable player.
Wolfrum was joined on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week by top-ranked Washington's Aaron Thompson, Oswego State's Chad Burridge, 15th-ranked Wheaton's Tim McCrary and York's Marcel Esonwune.
Wolfrum and the Jackets (4-0) will look to carry their strong play into HCAC action, when they open the conference schedule at Anderson on December 2.
