Freshman (2019-20): Played in all 25 games with one start... Led the team with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.2 (41 assists, 19 turnovers)... Scored in double digits in seven contests, including four times in the first six when the squad was 6-0... Tossed in a career-high 16 points in the home loss to 2020 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament champion Transylvania (2/1/19)... Shot 5 of 6 (83.3 percent) from both the field and foul line, plus added two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 20 minutes during that Transy game... On the court for a season-best 29 minutes, tallying 11 points and four assists, in the HCAC win at Rose-Hulman (12/7/19)... Dished out a career-high five assists to go with 11 points in a conference loss at Hanover (1/25/20)... Men’s basketball returns with loss in HCAC Championship quarterfinals

HANOVER, Ind. – Playing its first game since Jan. 30, the Defiance College men's basketball team returned to the court on Wednesday night with a season-ending 101-70 loss to the Hanover College Panthers in the quarterfinal round of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship at Collier Arena. Defiance entered the tournament as the No. 6 seed with Hanover the No. 3 seed.

Men’s basketball picked seventh in 2020-21 HCAC preseason poll

CARMEL, Ind. – Heading into its long-awaited upcoming season, the Defiance College men’s basketball team is picked to finish seventh among the 10 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference squads, according to the 2020-21 HCAC Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll. The poll was comprised after a vote of the conference’s head coaches and released by the HCAC office on Monday morning.

Men’s basketball to open 2020-21 season with Monday road game at Miami (Ohio)

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Despite having a roster that includes no seniors for the second straight season, the Defiance College men’s basketball team heads into the unpredictable, coronavirus-affected 2020-21 campaign with high hopes as sixth-year head coach Scott Cutter returns nine players and welcomes the same number of newcomers. His young, but somewhat experienced 2020-21 squad includes two juniors, eight sophomores and eight freshmen.
