Second Team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference selection after leading the squad in points per game (14.8), total points (356), field goals made (138), steals (38) and steals per contest (1.6)... Tied for the team lead in field goal percentage (52.3 percent, 138 of 264) while averaging 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists an outing... Shot 42.6 percent (29 of 68) from three-point range and 83.6 percent (51 of 61) at the free throw line... Scored in double figures 16 times, including seven contests of more than 20 points... Jordan named Second Team All-HCAC in men’s basketball for second time

CARMEL, Ind. – For the second consecutive season, Defiance College’s Marell Jordan, a 6-foot-2 junior guard from Chicago, Illinois, and Lafayette (Indiana) Jefferson High School, was named Second Team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference as the HCAC office announced its 2021 men’s basketball all-conference squads and major award winners on Thursday morning. Jordan also was the lone representative from Defiance on the All-HCAC teams last year after a vote of the conference’s head coaches.

Men’s basketball returns with loss in HCAC Championship quarterfinals

HANOVER, Ind. – Playing its first game since Jan. 30, the Defiance College men's basketball team returned to the court on Wednesday night with a season-ending 101-70 loss to the Hanover College Panthers in the quarterfinal round of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship at Collier Arena. Defiance entered the tournament as the No. 6 seed with Hanover the No. 3 seed.
