DEFIANCE, Ohio – Josh Gibson, an eight-year collegiate head-coaching veteran, was named on Wednesday as the head men’s basketball coach at Defiance College. Since 2012, Gibson has served as a head coach at both the NCAA Division II and NAIA levels.
CARMEL, Ind. – For the second consecutive season, Defiance College’s Marell Jordan, a 6-foot-2 junior guard from Chicago, Illinois, and Lafayette (Indiana) Jefferson High School, was named Second Team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference as the HCAC office announced its 2021 men’s basketball all-conference squads and major award winners on Thursday morning. Jordan also was the lone representative from Defiance on the All-HCAC teams last year after a vote of the conference’s head coaches.
