Bio

Grant Soffer was hired as an assistant men's basketball coach in August of 2021. Soffer has previously served as an assignment coach at the New Mexico Military Institute from 2018-19. While at NMNI Soffer assisted with recruiting, skill development, and scouting while covering academic eligibility and compliance.

Soffer worked as a graduate assistant coach for NCAA DII Western New Mexico University where he assisted with recruiting, running workouts, and video breakdowns while also conducting the film exchange with opponents and monitoring the team's academic progress.

Outside of the college ranks, Soffer has worked as an assistant coach with Believe Sports Academy and the New York Rens AAU team. He also has coached various collegiate summer camps including ones held by Drexel, St. John’s, Colorado, Colorado St, North Texas, North Dakota State, Gonzaga, LMU, BYU, San Diego State, UCLA, and Stanford.

Soffer earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from St. John's University in 2016 and his M.B.A. from Western New Mexico University in 2019. While a student at St., John's Soffer interned with the NBA Summer League and with Pallacanestro Virtus Roma, a professional basketball in the Lega Basket Serie A, where he assisted the club;s general manager in scouting and compliance.
