RICHMOND, IND. - Freshman Ethan Harris (Huntertown, Ind.) headlines Defiance College men's tennis HCAC honors for the 2018-19 season. Harris landed Honorable Mention recognition announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Sophomore Jared Schnee (Bellevue) also brought an accolade to the program, earning a spot on the Christopher M. Ragsdale All-Sportsmanship Team.
In his first season, Harris led the Purple and Gold with a 6-9 overall record at the number one singles position. The Huntertown, Ind. native also helped DC to a total of three doubles victories while featuring in number one and two doubles.
Schnee tallies his first HCAC recognition as part of the All-Sportsmanship Team. The sophomore provided DC with three victories at the number two singles spot. The Bellevue, Ohio native provided the Yellow Jackets depth in doubles, pairing with numerous teammates over the course of the season.
The Defiance men's tennis team wrapped up the 2018-19 campaign with a 3-12 overall record and a 1-7 mark in HCAC play under the direction of Head Coach Gonzalo Vivas.
