Postema Named HCAC Field Athlete of the Week

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced that Defiance College junior Tom Postema has been named Field Athlete of the Week. It is the second time he has claimed the award in the outdoor season.

Postema won the hammer throw at the All-Ohio Championships with a mark of 179-00. Postema claimed two more top-five finishes with a fourth-place effort in the discus with a mark of 150-04. He added a fifth-place result in the shot put with a toss of 49-09.00.

The DC men's track and field team posted a best-ever fifth place finish at the All-Ohio Championships.

The Yellow Jackets will return to competition on Saturday, April 21 at Spartan Classic hosted by Manchester. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am.
