DC’s Postema Takes 12th at NCAA Div. III Championships
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Yellow Jacket men’s indoor track and field season came to a close Saturday, March 9, as senior thrower Tom Postema came away from the National Collegiate Athletic Association Div. III Indoor Championships with a 12th-place finish in the shot put.

After taking third in the weight throw yesterday, the Defiance, Ohio native recorded a distance of 16.32 meters in the shot put. It was the second-straight year that Postema has placed 12th in the event at nationals. His distance was also the second-longest toss on the season.
The Great Lakes Region and Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Field Athlete of the Year will now join the rest of the Purple and Gold track and field team, as they shift their focus towards the outdoor season. The Mount St. Joseph Invitational is the first outdoor meet for the Jackets and is scheduled for Friday, March 22 at 4 p.m.
