Joshua Petro Named First-Team All-HCAC

GREENCASTLE, IND. -- Defiance College junior Joshua Petro (Ocala, Fla./The Villages) was named first-team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference after his victory in the weight throw at Saturday's HCAC Championships in Terre Haute, Ind.

GREENCASTLE, IND. -- Defiance College junior Joshua Petro (Ocala, Fla./The Villages) was named first-team All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference after his victory in the weight throw at Saturday's HCAC Championships in Terre Haute, Ind.  [2017 Indoor All-HCAC Teams]

Petro won the weight throw with a toss of 54' 4.00", marking the first time a Defiance student-athlete has won the event since 2014.

Sophomore thrower Justin Bergquist (Cincinnati/Northwest) was also recognized by the HCAC as a member of the All-Sportsmanship Team. 

The Defiance College track & field team will return to action outdoors on Saturday, Mar. 18 as they return to Terre Haute, Ind. for the Rose-Hulman (Ind.) Early Bird Invitational.
